Can I ask how many people have heard or used the term "Cheating Arabs" in Sheffield, I don't in any way mean to cause offence by this I am not saying Arabs are cheats, its just an old saying and I just wondered if anyone else heard it growing up and if you knew where it came from is there an old link (however tenuous) between Arabs and cheating maybe in business or something.

 

So have you heard/used it

Where is it from

What does it mean then and now

Is it a Sheffield/term thing
