suzyoo   10 #13 Posted November 18, 2018  If she believes that voting to leave the EU would damage the majority of her constituents, why on earth would she vote for it?  That makes no sense!  because it wasn't for her to decide, shes there to carry out /represent the voters wishes
 Share this content via...

BigAl1 Â Â 142 #16 Posted November 18, 2018 Will he do as much work as he did previously. He cant do any less. Â But he would no longer be my MP and that would be well worth celebrating
 Share this content via...

Any mp who doesn't isn't doing their job and will be held to account at the next election.  She is representing her constituents by voting against the Brexit bill.  The government's own impact reports (yes, the ones the government tried to hide from Parliament) say that it is Northern constituencies like Stocksbridge and Penistone which will be hit first and hardest by Brexit. andyofborg   11 #18 Posted November 18, 2018 but you could argue that its because of Labour MP's like her constantly attacking their leader that actually makes the Labour Party appear un electable, voters may question why they should vote for Labour if their own MP's are not happy with the party.  i think many voters may be questioning why they should vote labour given the partys current leader. ANGELFIRE1   10 #21 Posted November 18, 2018 That's nonsense. If she believes that voting to leave the EU would damage the majority of her constituents, why on earth would she vote for it?  That makes no sense!   She was elected by people who expected her to speak for them in Parliament, this she has declined to do. So why would you vote for her next time round.  She was on the telly this morning, broadcast from Fox Valley, promoting her desire for another "peoples vote" over Brexit. I suspect the hessian bag is waiting for her even more now at the next election.  Angel1
 Share this content via...
Bradley-St   10 #22 Posted November 18, 2018 she's a representative not a delegate, she is there to make the best decisions for the country anyway, she can't vote 67% in favour of a thing and 33% against it  To be strict, an estimated 41% of her constituency electorate voted leave, 26% voted remain and 33% abstained from voting, so by abstaining in a parliamentary vote Angela Smith would at least represent 1/3 of her constituents:)
 Share this content via...

Albert smith   11 #24 Posted November 18, 2018 She could not even save the post office at Burncross for her voters so she will have no interest in backing her majority of voters with regards to Brexit.
 Share this content via...
