Why do you have an issue with that ? we are a civilised country, and have morals, and we dont allow laws to be changed willy nilly depending on which bad guy we encounter
 Share this content via...

Not sure why the five year sentences were unlawful, but as the saying goes, 'the law is an ass'.   P+p  on a "motorised pub crawl" was jailed for 15 years yesterday after a judge said the maximum 10-year penalty was "wholly inadequate".  Judge Alan Goldsack, QC, said that although the charges related to one accident, he was sentencing Peter Noble to consecutive sentences for causing death by dangerous driving on the basis that six people had died. Noble - who had three previous drink-driving convictions and was banned from driving when the accident happened in Julwhat it means is  My Bold the judge did not think a 10 year sentence was enough so. he sentenced noble for two crimes when he should have given him the maximum 10 year sentence for the one incident. noble's sentence was not reduced it was corrected. Top Cats Hat   10 #94 Posted November 12, 2018 It depends if you believe in the nature or the nurture theory I guess. Both may apply of course.  Both always apply to varying degrees.  There is some interesting research done on identical twins separated at birth which suggest that nature has a much more profound effect than previously thought although these cases are fairly rare so statistically inconclusive.  Even nurture isn't all down to the parents. After the first couple of years all sorts of other environmental factors (including even diet!) affect an individual's development.  Knee jerk statements like 'their parents made them what they are' are neither helpful nor accurate. Some say it is because Sharia Law acts as a deterrent, but then others show that there are neighbouring countries with Sharia Law that have relatively high crime rates.   I know they currently host ex-terrorists in "lavish" prisons which seems to work in terms of rehabilitating them into Saudi society (even when they aren't Saudi nationals) - is that what you mean? https://qz.com/1028597/saudi-arabia-terrorism-rehabilitation-plan-includes-a-lavish-prison-with-family-time/  https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-40061550  Edit to add: They appear to have a rapidly rising crime rate (albeit from a low base), due to economic and societal issues.  Maybe this is why  C+P Search for questions, people, and topics Ask New QuestionSign In Quora uses cookies to improve your experience. There are expats living in Saudi Arabia from more than a hundred different nationalities. Just imagine if there is no strict laws then what would have happen to the people. Rapists and murderers are beheaded in public so that the public can see the execution themselves and see the result.
