OFO or Mobike bikes for sale?

Now that OFO have pulled out of Sheffield, and Mobike have pulled out of Manchester...

 

Does anyone know if either of these bikes are available to buy, legally?

Why would you want to buy one? I understand they pulled out because of theft and damage to the bikes.

I think the ofo bikes -- the ones that were working anyway -- all went down to London. They are all over the place there.

Still plenty being ridden around Sheffield, a few have the orginal detailing, mostly the ones I see have had horrendous diy paint jobs.

The OFO bikes I saw looked quite heavy to me.

 

They were, and with solid tyres, so not great to ride. But if cheap enough, they could have their place as reliable transport for flattish, short journeys.
