If these kinds of local shops go out of business then we will have no choice but to buy our food from big supermarkets that is the ultimate goal. if you don't support local shops and/or independents they will go if you doubt that have a good look at how many DIFFERENT retailers there are in the ever shrinking sheffield centre and how many are chains. ie from bottom of the moor through fargate to wilco on haymarket and try not to forget division st if you are one of those that can't trust your self with cash ...or find it "more convenient to use a card" .... the latter said in a suitably pitifull whining voice .... the then you will also, rather selfishly i might add, be contributing the eventual disappearance of the option to use cash for everyone..... before you inconsiderately dismiss your presently still available option to use cash please think very carefully... always using your card means someone somewhere WILL know everything you ever spend money on and all that implies if you voluntairily are giving up on any the few choices that remain to us all... then dont cry when there are none left.
