Wednesday 31st October: Quiz Night

The highly irreverent Quiz is every Wednesday at The White. Hosted by the inimitable Mr Bling, you and your team must overcome 3 rounds of general knowledge, an audio round and a picture round in order to claim the prize.

 

Throw into the mix some random challenges, spot prizes, lashings of real ale and a completely free buffet with veggie, vegan and gluten-free options and you're onto a winner.

 

9pm, 50p entry

Thursday 1st November: Jam Night

Hosted by Sheffield legend Chris Firminger and backed by his regular house band The TwoJays, this evening provides a platform for musicians from all over Sheffield and further afield.

 

Renowned for the musicians it attracts, the Thursday Jam sees regular attendance and performance from the likes of Julian Jones, The Carnival, Open Jaw Fayre, The Crashers, Grave Danger, Fahrenheit, Vamp and many more.

 

Full backline and P.A. provided, come watch or join in.

Friday 2nd November: Seven Day Weekend

Featuring members of Metropolis, The Carnival, Metal Fatigue and Emerald City, this highly experienced band know how to entertain. Rock classics but with a twist in the tale, they're currently taking the circuit by storm and now it's your chance to catch them at The White.

Saturday 3rd November: The Grits

The Grits hit the road towards the end of 2014, and have since built up a reasonable size fan base thru their music, which consists mainly of 'covers' from the 60's/70's Pop/Rock/Soul & Funk genres, BUT, played with a hard edge and a little attitude.

 

Current members are :- B.B. (BillyBoy) Smith, - Lead voc’s and guitar, Mont Rose, - Guitar/backing voc’s, Joe Bago, - Saxaphone/backing voc’s, Dave Micklethwaite, - Bass guitar/backing voc’s , Tony Corish -Trumpet /backing Voc’s, Lawrence (Lol) Higgins, Drums.

 

9.30pm, free entry.

 

Sunday 4th November: Chris McMahon's Folk Afternoon

Hosted by renowned musician Chris McMahon of Treebeard, a Sunday afternoon session of folk music. Expect traditional, expect contemporary, expect the unexpected!

 

This month's guests are Hungarian Lanterns. A Sheffield and Berlin based music group. 'They possess a seemingly endless array of potent acoustic songs with instantly quotable wordplay' - bbc.co.uk.
