A curious question, but the group of cooling towers you can see NE from Sheffield is it drax? What is the furthest landmark you can see from within Sheffield?

A curious question, but the group of cooling towers you can see NE from Sheffield is it drax? What is the furthest landmark you can see from within Sheffield?

 

Yes you can see Drax looking north east from Sheffield, but you can also see Eggborough north of that and Ferrybridge even further north.

 

You can see York Minster in the right conditions and even the North York Moors.

Apparently you can see the humber br. from Wharncliffe crags using a pair of binoculars. there was a similar topic on here where the poster posted a photo of humber br. taken from that spot, don"t know how to find it though.

Yep towers would be easy to see..just wondered how they saw ships which are at seal level...
