Exactly, in the 60s, some of my favourite pubs had the lousiest beer but it didn't stop me going in, I would just have a barleywine or a black and tan. Mind you, I am talking about days when pubs were tied to breweries and were only allowed to sell that brewery's draught beers. Free houses were very few and far between in those days. Agree on the passion and mango thing lol
