If you are willing to travel to Rotherham you could take them to the Rotherham Show in Clifton Park.

Put hand in pocket Sir and buy a Chatsworth House pass.

There are so many wonderful things for kids to do there. Our kids have spent most of their school holidays there over the years.

It’s £65 for a family day ticket.

I think he meant an annual pass.

Silver membership with 2 adults and 2 kids is £ 150.

We had one of these when the kids were small and bought a book of discounted carpark passes.

My wife took the kids loads to play in the (tremendous) adventure playground and we had plenty of family visits to the house and gardens.

Well worth it.

Us too, for years. Kids are grown up now but have wonderful memories of it. Well worth the family membership fee.

Of course, that would buy lots of buckets of KFC and x-box licences though.

Yes I’ve been. It’s a great place.

The OP asked for ideas for places that were free - you suggested somewhere that isn’t free and then chucked a sly dig in at people eating KFC’s and playing x boxes.

these posts always reminds me of that Harry Enfield sketch
