Trauma/PTSD Support Groups in Sheffield?

Hi all,

 

I wasn't sure where to put this so hopefully it's in the right place.

 

Does anyone know of any open trauma and/or PTSD support groups in Sheffield?

 

I've just finished a group course that was really helpful and was looking for something to fill the gap while I'm waiting for my therapy to come through. Had a nosey on the internet but not had much joy.

Unfortunately, in our experience, the answer is no.

 

You go on the courses offered by your GP. If they deem it serious enough, they pass you on to places like St Georges. If you're accepted it can take 18 months plus to get a place. They do offer reviews at 3-6 month intervals.

If you haven't already, you could try searching on the Sheffield Directory:

From past experience of using the site, you have to be quite broad in your choice of keyword searches so as to yield the best results.
