ISIS is at it again wanting to claim every atrocity as its own, Some nutter in a Paris suburb stabbed his mother and sister to death and was later shot for charging the cops with the knife.

The relationship of the victims to the attacker wasn't known initially when the crime was reported. So Islamic State stuck their oar in. What a bunch of sick puppies.

there should be a media blackout when attacks like this happen so they cant gain "propaganda" kudos by claiming responsibility, it should also come with their websites etc being closed down.

I don't believe for one moment that Isis had anything to do with this attack but that doesn't alter the fact that it was yet another act of murder carried out by a religious, knife-wielding fanatic on the streets of a European City. My own theory is that these attacks are the result of a combination of mental instability and religious brainwashing but others are free to disagree. A lot of people have mental health issues but it seems to be predominantly Muslims who commit these murders; there was a similar incident in Spain a couple of days earlier.

 

When mentally unstable people have had their heads filled with lurid, medieval religious nonsense from the day they were born, it's hardly surprising that they go out and kill. I find the suggestion that the solution to the problem is a media blackout quite chilling, as it's reminiscent of the kind of society described in George Orwell's '1984' where all news is controlled by the state and everybody's fed a diet of lies and false statistics. Is this really the route we want to go down? I also find the excuse that it would starve Isis of publicity totally mendacious and it's more likely a determination to cover up the impact the spread of Islam is having on western countries. In an open, mature society we should be told as much as possible about what's going on, not treated like children who have to be protected from uncomfortable truths.

The point of this thread is the exact opposite of what you are complaining about. Islamic State is CLAIMING a domestic murder by a mentally deranged individual as something they called for to happen, it has nothing to do with Islamophobia whatsoever. If ISIS had not claimed responsibility for this attack it would not have been a major international news item, sad as that may sound.

I can assure you many people have opinions regarding the knife crime in London, but again any online discussion or comment will be met with the usual claims of 'isms' and 'phobias', typically by those on the 'left'
