Ontarian1981 Â Â 10 #2 Posted July 26, 2018 Anyone recall Luncheon Vouchers for certain workers around 1960's ? Â I remember getting them if I worked overtime at short notice in England. Here in Ontario, if in a union shop and are asked to work overtime at short notice, the company have to pay you a lunch allowance in cash as not many canteens around these days. Don't ever recall getting them as a perk, if that is what you mean.
 Share this content via...
Fiat500 Â Â 17 #3 Posted July 27, 2018 Used to get luncheon vouchers in early 70s. Think about 25p a day. Could use them for sandwich shop or lunch at Stone House but I liked to save them up for meal at Bernie Inn.
 Share this content via...

Person6 Â Â 10 #5 Posted July 30, 2018 Still going strong. Â Blimey! Â I used to get them in the early seventies but my employer insisted we had to use them in the Danish Kitchen above Hornes at the top of King Street. I think there was some sort of deal going on between them and my employer but I liked to vary my choice of venue and just stopped using them.
