Or do you employ your own Personal Assistants and want to further their skills and knowledge?  If you answered YES, then this is for you! Disability Sheffield are working alongside Skills for Care and the Sheffield City Council to offer a number of FREE training sessions designed specifically for those working as a PA for individuals that have either physical and/or learning disabilities. We have a range of sessions throughout 2018, including:  Safeguarding Adults Awareness Eating & Swallowing Dignity in Care Mental Health Awareness Emergency Food Safety Dementia Awareness Promoting Effective Communication & Relationships Emergency First Aid at Work  The first session we have available is:  Moving & Handling People training course for Personal Assistants on the 23rd of July 9.30-4.30  We are running this one day course with the Sheffield City Council to enable you to gain and understanding of safe methods and techniques for moving and handling.
