House in Darton ( Barnsley ) just been struck by lightning. Chimney smashed to bits and cars damaged by falling bricks.

Doing a bit of gardening today , about 3.30 I felt a few spots of rain on my muscular , rippling torso , I thought here we go , then nothing .

Supposedly we're getting something over the next few days. Temps due to drop about 10 degrees for the weekend. Still nice and warm but not insanely hot.

 

People at work have been complaining that our nice air-conditioned office is too cold and then wondering why I'm looking at them like they're mad.

so who thinks this summer is just a freak occurrence and who thinks its beginning of the end of life as we know it? If we get several summers in a row like this, it won't be long before we begin getting short of food due to failed harvests.
