You should really read the fine print of that EU document. No cabotage for planes nor for trucks, and financial services interim measures are solely for derivatives and related instruments: bye bye asset management services, retail and corporate banking services, etc.

It’s measures to keep the lights on in the U.K. and to mitigate the worst of the short-term impacts on the EU27: there are no freebies in there. None.

The noises from Brussels via the usual sources (which have yet to be proven wrong as a matter of record), are that the Commission has washed its hands off the U.K., and that the only traction the U.K. could still expect lies with the Council.

TM got what she deserved out of her bit of no-deal brinksmanship yesterday: you’re on your own.

If this what the EU wants then it shows is that they never had anything but punishment in mind nothing more nothing less.

But no longer have to pay subs. Especially when the subs were so high compared to other members.

Do you Brexiteers have a special facebook page or crank US website where you get all your fake news from?

The UK is the second largest economy in the EU but pays the eighth highest contribution. This means that six countries with smaller GDPs than us pay in more.

Yet another widely believed lie from the leave campain, that discredits the 2016 vote.

But you still have to pay the subs you owe, otherwise other clubs won't let you in.

Leaving the club is one thing. But that club being so petty is another. I wouldn't expect to have all the benefits after leaving. But a mutually beneficial relationship would suit both sides is.

We are third highest  on the list, behind Spain and Germany.  But this is ignored by remoaners, as is the revelation that the UK pays more into the EU budget than it gets back. In 2017 the UK government paid £13 billion to the EU budget, and EU spending on the UK was forecast to be £4 billion. So the UK's 'net contribution' was estimated at nearly £9 billion. I would say that's a pretty hefty sum, unless you want to say this is a lie too.

Since when was that a revelation?

The whole point of EU economic strategy¬†is to reduce the differences between all EU states and¬†make us all richer. That means the strongest economies pay more, the weaker ones receive more. Redistribution of wealth on an international level. That's why Trump,¬†Putin,¬†the far right and the ‚ā¨urosceptic wing of the Tory party hate it.
