I would much rather this country be run by technocrats who actually know what they are talking and unilaterally cancel this nightmare.

Who would they be then as I dont know that there would be enough scientists or technicians who would qualify or fit the job? Nice try at evading the question though..

All this talk we here about a country divided, and yet almost all of it, is from the remain side. Here, tv, social media, everywhere.

socialist worker? theyre scumbags too, while we were on the streets fighting nazis they were trying to sell their papers, thats all they ever went on marches for, sell papers

You mean they were building an alternative to capitalism by selling their newspaper. Building the class struggle by distributing a political message to those who were receptive to a different way of doing things. Recruiting new volunteers, organising around various class issues.

Now Brexit has polarised society into the have's and the have nots. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to deliver a massive blow to global capitalism and show people there is another, better, way of running society.

Since I can't have that, then any method of cancelling Brexit goes.

Your commitment to democracy is awe inspiring.

They always are. Every election.

If this doesn't work out, then the next government might be able to win power by getting us back in with our tails between legs.  Plenty of opportunities for new parties to build. A few right labour and some of the left tories could easily form a party., call it, the get us back in party, and see if it wins. It probably would tbh.

Selling the paper on the streets was hard but essential work. It wasn't glamorous or exciting, like fighting nazis. A punch up and a few beers after. No, selling the papers helped build the party.

Did you ever attend any meetings?

So what you are telling me is that this country can’t find 650 representative, scientists, engineers, doctors, economists, lawyers or other useful profession to sit as MPs in parliament? Okay.

So you would consider a technician to be a technocrat. Very funny.

The route to us being in EU

1) tax the citizens especially working class heavily

2) pay key people with the money taken in tax

3) put those key people in positions of power

4) the key people put remainers in other key positions of power

5) brexiteers get more sidelined in MSM (ie farage)

6) as time goes by the education system gets to work on the young ensuring they form the correct opinions and thoughts

7) the older voters die off

8.... the younger educated by the system voters get to voting age

9) wait until 2020s

10) rerun referendum

11) people vote to remain in the EU

Game over

It was a workers revolt against the elite who had been responsible for the devastation of our working class communities over the decades. The left-wing newspaper 'Socialist Worker' declared the vote "A Revolt Against the Rich".

It was quite correct.

It was quite wrong - it was the lumpen falling for nationalist rhetoric again.

That’s only cos we’re enlightened and easy going. Check out brexit related comments on the bbc website if you want brexiteer flavoured rants. Plenty on there with plenty of likes. Pro brexit comments always get plenty of love on there, many ranting on on how we should “get behind” brexit (yeah a deal that’s worse than what we’ve already got but still) or how May is a traitor for not jumping into a no deal brexit.

But the talk of a divided country is spot on, it’s everywhere. But don’t kid yourself it’s from one side only.
