Odd-jobs   10 #13 Posted June 13, 2018 (edited) ther's shootings all over Sheffield including Dore-Totley drugs have no boundaries.  I would'nt have thought it would get to Dore or Totley, after all they can afford to pay their drug dealers, and are generally well educated and polite enough to show nuff 'spect. Innit. Edited June 13, 2018 by Odd-jobs
 Share this content via...

RJRB   688 #15 Posted June 13, 2018 I can’t say that I feel any more threatened than ever before because I am out of the age bracket for likely involvement in drink and drug related crime. That’s not to acknowledge the muggings theft and robbery that we could all be unlucky enough to experience. It’s about time that the government provided what the public wants and that is to fund the police and get them back on the streets. Visible local police officers soon get to know the issues on their patch,as well as having the authority to stop and search. Low level crime soon develops into a bigger problem if it is not stamped down on. We have plenty enough laws, but do not have the wherewithal to enforce them. Jeffrey Shaw   90 #17 Posted June 14, 2018 Or try Mr Sillitoe's solution to the Sheffield Gang Wars! RJRB Â Â 688 #18 Posted June 14, 2018 More police, more visible and more attention to low level criminal behaviour. The current message seems to be that the police do not have the time or manpower to investigate numerous offences including car thefts ,burglaries etc. This is just stoking up problems for the future. Perhaps a cross between Percy Sillitoe,Robocop with a touch of a Dixon of a Dock Green is the answer.
 Share this content via...
Jeffrey Shaw   90 #19 Posted June 14, 2018 I was once told the reason for increases in theft. Nowhere is there a requirement "Thou shalt make thy house/car/computer burglarproof". It's much simpler than that. It says "Don't steal."  Most people who notice an unattended item would never ever think "Great! Something to steal, there." So the problem is people who would think it unless someone is watching or there's a high probability of being caught. Why do their mindsets become warped that way? I've no idea. Have you? Have you?   Probably can’t afford specialist tax accountants who get paid to hide money off shore or tick one box or another to avoid shelling out. Donald Trump seems to have been an expert at doing this. Personally I’ve never stolen anything or ever claimed anything at work I wasn’t entitled to, eg found £8 in the change given part of a drinks machine and handed it in, found a wallet in a supermarket toilet and handed it in, always pay on trains when it would be easy to avoid
 Share this content via...

woodmally   10 #23 Posted June 30, 2018 Just seeing that there's been another shooting tonight , It seems to be getting crazy now , Not sure if its all about Gangs/Drugs or unrelated to all others , But when will it end stay safe People !  I think we have nothing to worry about. These people are targeted because of what they are involved in. No matter how despicable these people are they are not that daft. They are not going to stab some random person on the street and risk a custodial sentence. They know they are safe as the person who is stabbed is known to them and for various reasons wont report it to the authorities. Its little boys running round pretending to be men. woodmally   10 #24 Posted August 19, 2018 With all the stabbing that has been going off in Sheffield. Is it a case of the new weapon of choice for criminals or are we in the midst of a gang war?
 Share this content via...
