Why was there a girl locked inside Balti King yesterday?

Recommended Posts

What if there'd had been a fire?

She may well have died.

Well, that's a relief! But the Star have got some of the story wrong. She was taken out on Saturday morning, so she must of been in over Friday night. And she must of been well awake before 9.30am because the restaurant alarm was going off from at least 8.30am & all of Broomhill could hear it! Still, surely you'd think the staff would check if anyone was left in the premises before locking up & leaving? What if there'd had been a fire?

Absolutely astonishing that staff of any building would lock up before checking the premises is empty. But then, given some of the absolutely astonishing things I've witnessed myself at Balti King, I'm not sure why I'm surprised!

If someone gets that drunk they fall asleep on the bog then frankly they deserve to be locked in all night.

I don't understand why the emergency services did not just call the key holder.

The owner lives in Keighley, don't know if he's the only one with a key though.

I have no idea if they do or not so this is a serious question: do the emergency services have the contact details of the owners/keyholders of every single business?

Good question and I do not know the answer - certainly I assumed (and you know what they say about assuming) that they would have the contact details when there was an alarm installed. of course I may be wrong

This is on Sheffield Star's web site today. I haven't done a link because besides the headline all there is, is a questionnaire to fill in. It does say she fell asleep on the toilet, but that may have come from the comments on here

How do you know the owner lives in Keighley?

Bradford is a long way a way to have and run a business in Sheffield.
