I believe they could not agree due to a procedural matter. Here is a very good piece about the office of Mayor that sums thing up well and published in The Star:

I really hope that he's read this quite excellent article and has sufficient common sense to behave with decorum in the future,  although I'm not holding my breath!

watch the various videos with him on youtube, the way he talks to people, engages with people, whether he has political power isnt the point, he isnt just another "suit" that is far removed from the people and sits in a dusty office

He comes across great - it’s only the bigots that have got anything bad to say about him.

I really like Magid , hes speaking out for truth and for the world which is is dire straights . What you don't see is how hard he works away from the public eye . The last Lord mayor to do anything useful was Tony Arbor , who did masses for disabilities awareness  in Sheffield, Magid  will leave a fantastic record and the council will get no one better to represent them .

Have you got any examples of him acting like an idiot? Or evidence that he is self serving?

what were your views on previous mayors? Any examples of where he is going wrong compared to them?

Yep here you go. Him crouching on an ornate table showing no respect for the property of sheffield whilst dressed like one of the three amigos.

Oh and yet again acting like an idiot this time crouching on a pillar

Oh yes and yet again dressed totally inappropriately whilst chairing a council meeting

Yet totally accurate. While the gentleman concerned may have good intentions and worthy aims it's all these stupid and inappropriate (really - who else on here squats on tables for photo opportunities?) poses and verbal dictats that help cement his image (amongst the non-sycophants amongst us) as an attention seeking clown.

I am sick to death of him speaking for the people of Sheffield when in reality most people you meet in pubs and in the workplace can't stand him.

I don't think he is doing anything worthwhile for the people of Sheffield and he only seems to be interested in his own celebrity status.

2018 has been a terrible year for Sheffield in terms of Knife and Gun crime. Has our Lord Mayor ever said anything at all regarding it? It's the number one issue in this city and he seems obvious to it. Jumping on top of tables getting his face in the papers with Sheffield Z-List celebrities is more important to him.

Mark my words, when the Lord Mayor is kicked into touch he will end  up doing Big Brother or I'm A Celebrity. 100%.
