Although this might be what is supposed to happen, in practice cars are towed without sufficient notice having been given about restrictions. It happened to me, SCC did not even contest the case when I pointed this out.

When Amey did work on our street notices went up on Sunday afternoon for work due to start on Monday.

 

They also had signs up for work that never got done, every week a man came round and changed the dates on the signs to extend it for another week.
