RIP Brendan Ingle

Recommended Posts

RIP to a great adopted son of the city, who not only helped put Sheffield on the map but also helped many, who might not have made it professional, but give them guidance and discipline in life.

Sad news, he put Sheffield on boxings top city map. Hope he gets some sort of recognition from his adopted home city. A Brendon Square for instance.

I know a few lads who's lives would be very different had they not met Brendan Ingle, sad news indeed.

Sad news. Met him a couple of times and he always gave you time.

We've lost two great Sheffielders - Brendan Ingle and Barbara Wragg.

Both were incredibly generous with time and money.

I'd like to think that their generosity depicted Sheffield and its characteristics.

I will remember that I cried

when I heard about the fact he died

cause something touched me deep inside

the day the TRAINER died.

A man who understood the importance of giving people from difficult backgrounds a chance and a set of values, who understood the value of community and abhorred bigotry. A sad loss and a great Sheffielder

What a man. He'll be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was a true gent who genuinely cared. R.I.P Brendan.
