Band Sander Request

My son is rapidly trying to finish his GCSE product design coursework before going back to school on Monday.

 

He could really do with access to a workshop band/belt sander for a short time.

 

Please can anyone out there help?

I hope he finishes it and does well in his course work, but he'll be struggling to find a workshop to do it unless it's a hobbyists. There are too many H&S and insurance implications for industrial units.

I'm not sure if the hackspace has a belt sander, but a member might if they don't.

If all else fails you can hire on to take home from Bunnings in Rotherham at a daily rate.

Thank you Ian for the very kind offer.

 

But he cracked on using elbow grease and my less than ideal hand held elliptical sander. Although he was amused that my sander is probably about as old as him and my work bench he was using is at least twice his age.

 

Still cleaning up dust in the kitchen though as it was too wet to do it in the back yard.
