Manchester to Sheffield in the snow

Anyone know of a different route from Manchester to Sheffield at all please apart from M62, Snake Pass and Woodhead which are all closed !

Or you could turn left at the lights before Hathersage at Bamford and pick the A57 up at Ladybower..

If the three major roads from Sheffield to Manchester are closed the chances of the smaller lesser used ones being open and safe are slim.

The advice is don't travel unless absolutely vital, M62 closed all roads very congested..

Probably take you 5 6 7 hrs to get there.
