To me Hull is in East Yorkshire and Yorkshire CCC used to play first-class matches there.  Wiki says it's in the East Riding but that can't be right even though Humberside doesn't exist anymore. There was never a 'South' then so how did we get left out ? Perhaps Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster etc. was in the West Riding then.
