Brown Bear Sheffield City Centre - closed? Now re-opened.

Recommended Posts

Let us hope so , if the Bear shuts then the only City proper. pub left for proper Sheffielders to sup in will be the Norfolk on Dixon Lane.

What about The Hen and Chickens ?

......proper Sheffielders....

Hurrah! How lovely it is to see that phrase again on these pages. Who are the 'improper Sheffielders'? Do tell. Which of the people who live and work in Sheffield and maybe even grew up here do not belong in your little imaginary club?

Down town on Saturday night talked to a couple of regulars from the Brown Bear

The rumour has it that they are refurbishing the living quarters for new tenants and should be reopen in 3 weeks

All the Sam Smith's estate are managed houses. No leases or tenancies.

Yep, despite being born here and living here for 45 years, I can't possibly be a proper sheffielder as I don't drink in the Norfolk or brown bear.

A few reasons

-it doesnt sell anything I want to drink

-it isnt anywhere near any of the pubs I do drink in

-its a bit of a hole
