hi there somebody please help i have a hp slimline desktop and as a result of moving ive lost the cable which goes from the monitor to my tower.

Connections are visible here on the HP site.(Expand Back I/O ports).

 

There is a DVI-D and a HDMI port.

You will need the Connection type on the monitor.

Photograph both and go to Maplins.

Many cables bought on the internet are unreliable.

The word should be "some" not "many". Maplin are overpriced for most cables and should only be used in an emergency.

 

If you use ebay/amazon, kenable is a good, cheap and reputable cable supplier and I've used them many times.

Have a look here, find which slot appears on both your computer and monitor and that’s the cable you need.
