Seems like a very superficial judgement of a person, to think you can know what a person is like just on the basis of their name. People do do that though, make all kinds of superficial snap judgements of others, without truly getting to know them and understanding their circumstances and background.

If we're judging people based on their name, we may as well start judging based on colour, race, sexuality or anything else. Ridiculous, and as pointed out, reverse snobbery. I'm sure there was uproar when that Hopkins creature criticised people for calling their children Chardonnay and similar.

Calm down, if you read properly, I said some people not all. A lot of Aristocrats have double barrel names and some pretentious gits think its clever to copy to make themselves feel important and make others think that they are important. Its not a ridiculous thread, people like this make me sick.
