Olive   10 #49 Posted February 1, 2018 I'm just flabbergasted.  I thought the council had a responsibility to clear rubbish up, not create it?  I've long thought that there seemed to be more litter about after the recycling collections than normal, but today just takes the biscuit.  Bins and boxes got emptied today at about midday. Prior to that, a fairly tidy street. I went out shortly after the bin lorry had been round, to find the street in an awful state. Plastic bottles, food containers, (large) bits of cardboard, a magazine and several bits of newspaper strewn along the pavement.  What a flippin' shower. I'd have been embarrassed to leave the place looking like that. I've cleaned it all up, but if I hadn't have been in today, the whole lot would have been blowing around, adding to growing rubbish dump that is our city. Olive   10 #51 Posted February 1, 2018 Veolia, a private company, is responsible for rubbish collection now.  Yes, I know. On behalf of the council, on behalf of us. I've raised it as an issue on their website.
 Share this content via...
Bodie   11 #52 Posted February 1, 2018 I'm sure this question has been answered. Just curious as to why the mods haven't intervened and closed the topic, as they have done on various other topics that have been answered
 Share this content via...
