Foreign aid is 0.7 per cent of gov budget if I am right.

That leaves us the 99.3 % to allot.

I have seen that with tie ins and conditions ,70percent if the aid budget actually gets spent with UK companys

I did not say ‘full’. However, we need to honest and realistic about sustainable population growth.  Unsustainable population growth would require building on the green belt for example. One thing the pandemic should have taught us is the importance of green spaces for mental and physical health. Another thing is the concern that we need to be more self sufficient in our food production.  We should not be giving up farmland for housing making us more dependent on imports and requiring even more intensive farming. 
That is before even considering the costs of education, health etc.
That is not being heartless denying a few desperate souls a refuge from a war torn country making a perilous channel crossing. It is being honest and realistic that it is simply not possible for every refugee to be accommodated in the country of their choice (and lets be clear, for many that is NOT the UK). There are no easy solutions to this but a wishy washy ‘don’t be heartless’ argument to allow unconditional immigration to anyone who wants it is simply unsustainable.  Over the last 10 years the homelessness situation in this country has gone from bad to worse.

The solutions suggested on that page don't include stopping immigration / refugees / asylum seekers.

 

As more people live longer we need more people to pay for their pensions - or we need to decrease pensions - or increase taxes on the existing population.
