Sheffield United v Sheffield Wednesday 12/01/18

Recommended Posts

I thought you played quite well.

You're no mugs.

When you THRASHED us by 2 at Hillsborough, don't think for one second that that was even an average performance by us. It was desperately AWFUL by us, from back to front.

Our squad players tonight, played very well. New manager, new system, and players low on confidence.

Callers on RS seem to be making very lame excuses for United, and some Blades are crediting Wednesday with a very unexpected strong performance.

I, for one , thought we'd get mullered.

I agree, you were dire at Hillsborough. We weren't dire, just not up to our standards. You definitely deserved the point.

I fully expected a massacre tonight, a proper one not a pretend two goal margin one. I thought we stuck to our task well in nullifying United in the only area of the pitch they actually play - the final third, stop that and you stop United. Loovens has lost his pace but the second offence was never a yellow.

A new dawn for us and the main thing was not to lose, mission accomplished, well done to Pudil for his MOTM award.

Are you sure you haven’t mixed him up with Stevens or Basham?

They both looked like League 2 players

Everyone knows how to play against United now. Look at the form table.

I said he’s lost his pace, his studs got caught it wasn’t a yellow, ex ref Keith Hackett agrees.

I’m not in the Championship table.

Those two stood out tonight for being clueless.

Both of them above you in the Championship, one game doesn't make a season, plus,we didn't pay 8Mil for them to look clueless like one of yours tonight.

Explain please.

Blades finally get promoted from League 1. First season in the Championship, written off by many, expected to be in a relegation battle.

Wednesday, play offs two years in row, and expect another promotion push.

Wednesday sit in the bottom half, take a point at 6th placed United and see it as a big success.
