Sheffield Town Hall - Old and New

I have just been browsing through a calender featuring pictures of Sheffield in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century and was trying place a year when the townhall was built. Thankyou in advance and A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE.

It was designed by the London-based architect E. W. Mountford and constructed over a seven-year period from 1890 to 1897, opening on 21 May 1897.

I am looking for evidence of where the Sheffield townhall was situated before the present building on pinstone street.

It was the building that later became the courthouse on Waingate opposite the now demolished castle market.
