Why does the Council feel the need to enforce bus lanes on Xmas Day?

The point is that its clearly marked as a bus lane, so its logical to think unless otherwise informed its for bus use only. If people did that this would all be a none-issue.

I appealed my fine and got it quashed anybody else do the same. The appeal court said the bus lane should not have been in operation.

Does that mean I can't drive over a pedestrian crossing even if there are no pedestrians about to cross.
