nightrider   13 #1525 Posted May 4, 2018 SYP are quite fond of arresting people who are doing nothing wrong on completely spurious grounds, then the charges are quietly dropped later. Such as the arrest for "racially aggravated harassment", or the one where a slight 74 year old man was arrested for allegedly intimidating a witness (a 20 stone bouncer). Of course while waiting for these ludicrous charges to be dropped there are bail conditions preventing these protesters from demonstrating. It is still the case that not a single protester arrested at a tree felling has been prosecuted for any crime, although some charges are still pending. So far the CPS has dropped every single case before it came to trial.  Furthermore a complaint of unlawful arrest, by one of the main protestors, was recently upheld against SYP. Let's hope they go back to that.  If you genuinely think that (which I'm sure you don't) you must be stark staring mad.
 Share this content via...

redfox   10 #1532 Posted May 5, 2018 Thanks for that - I think (without knowing more) he made a complaint to Professional Standards and (again with knowing more) he says that they acknowledge some fault.  Unless he made a complaint to the IPCC.  All a bit vague. For them to be down four overall they must have lost five areas to the LibDems and Greens.
 Share this content via...
