"medium size town , type of way " and people wonder why we cant get serious investors in Sheffield

Sheffield gets plenty of investment. AMRC is doing great stuff. Chinese money is rolling in.

The problem with this city is it needs to start talking itself up, instead of talking itself down.

If potential huge investors read Sheffield Forum for some kind of sense of attitude, they would likely bugger off to Hull instead.

so we say nothing about this disgrace of a xmas tree, what happens if a invester visits the moor? its not a great example of how we do things is it?also who decided to buy a cheapo type tree?why not ask for donations as its a main focal point outside sainsburys

that is passed and looked at by thousands of people every day and all there is is a bare tree with thousands of pine needles all over and some lights on a bare wood tree.

who is responsible?

I am pretty certain that any potential investors would be more interested in the bold, as opposed to the state of the Christmas tree. :hihi:

Blimey. You're obsessed. How many more posts do you plan to make about this fundamentally unimportant issue?

To answer your specific question, I suspect the tree was paid for by the various businesses who operate there. The only possible course of action for you is to boycott them all until this time next year, and only return there when they have an xmas tree as fulsome and luxurious as you think the area deserves.

so we say nothing about this disgrace of a xmas tree...

That's right! No-one cares other than you.

Let's be honest here, if you felt so strongly about it you wouldn't be posting about it on this forum where no-one else cares or is willing to do anything about it.

Here, get a petition going

Of course, if Sheffield spent plenty of money on Christmas decorations, those on here complaining about the scraggy Christmas tree would be foaming at the mouth at the cost of all these baubles etc

Nah, I think Rovvrem’s suffered enough :help:

PS: Rovvrem’s still a town. It’s not sophisticated enough to be a city yet :hihi:

Do you think a scraggy Christmas tree is going to put investors off? It’s not the tree it’s the rest off the city centre that will put people off it’s a dump
