nothing of any significance around Dronfield just took grandson to work no trouble at all . Suppose weather men have to generalise a bit but weather system not come as far north as expected so can put away emergency rations and candles pack up emergency generator.

The snow here in Wincobank is terrible. In the next 24 hours it might even form a layer of frost on the ground...

Well we're further north than you and we've got tons of the stuff. Our mistake is living on the west of the Peak. If it rains we get more of that as well :(

I couldn't open the door this morning with the avalanche that greeted me :rolleyes:

Everyone telling me it was going to be terrible etc. Its winter and this is what happens this time of year.

So the hour by hour forecast in the Star for 13 hours of heavy snow has so far not even turned into 7 seconds of heavy snow here.

It's starting to thaw here - the thin covering that was on the car roof and windscreen has melted.

But it would have been enough to get the panic buyers stripping the shelves in the shops. It only takes the mere mention of snow to have them filling trolly`s full of bread and milk .
