Winter weather thread 2017/2018

I drive a 4X4 SUV, which is as much use as a bag of cement, when I’ve got a top of the range sports coupe with low profile tyres stuck in the snow in front of me.

Now raining at Crookes, and the air temperature seams to be quite warm, I expect the snow to have just about gone by late afternoon.

Had to take grandson to work , at Dore Moor Inn , at 8-30 am only just managed to get off estate at Dronfield Woodhouse and roads were shocking , managed to get there and back ok , just walked to supermarket and very much improved

Bank holiday?

 

They come on bank holidays except Xmas day, Boxing day and new years day.

 

I'm outraged!

Anyone been out on the roads? What are they like?

Wet and slushy but mostly improving.
