Filming around Sheffield November 2017

Passed the 'Braids' hairdressers, at the junction of Abbeydale Rd & Gatefield Rd, yesterday, Tues 21 Nov & again this afternoon. There was a film crew outside the hairdressers yesterday & today they appear to have moved inside.

 

The main window is covered with white paper & outside there is a guy holding 3 powerful spotlights shining into the shop.

 

Any ideas as to what is going on?

Saw film crew on abbeydale rd today. Outbound just past broadfield pub on same side. Think it was an old antique shop? Braids?? Correct me if im wrong.

Just gone past Norton Water Tower temporary lights, tower all lit up and about 6 vans of which 3 were of film crew vans

I drove past Braids on Abbeydale Road tonight at 4.30pm and there was filming activity. The front of the shop was covered with white paper and strong lights were being shone onto the paper. Didn’t notice any vans or lorries, but there were 2 people up step ladders with the lights.

Cultbox site confirms Doctor Who being filmed in Sheffield, with night shoots on the 21st. cultbox reckons the filming may be part of episode 1or 7.

The Sheffield Star has already run a piece on filming at Sheffield railway station.

They've been filming at the tower crane storage facility in Wincobank/Blackburn for the past couple of nights.
