Police are appealing to find Una-May Howah Currie who was reported missing from her home on Doe Royd Crescent, Sheffield at around 7.30am this morning (Tuesday 7 November).

 

Una-May has dreadlock hair and is thought to be wearing an orange wool jacket, grey and pink training shoes and carrying a leopard print bag.

 

 

Officers are extremely concerned for Una-May’s welfare and are appealing for anyone who may have seen her, or knows where she might be, to contact police immediately.

 

Have you seen Una-May?

 

 

Anyone with information is asked to report it via 999 quoting incident number 179 of 7 November.

I don't know how she got there but it's worth pointing out a bus goes from quite close to the road mentioned in the OP to Meadowhall. It's not unreasonable to think an 8 year old who'd taken that bus several times with a parent could do so by their self. But we're all just speculating and we're unlikely to find out the real answer.
