Jared Omara MP ..

nikki-red

We understand that this is an emotive subject, and discussing the facts is totally fine.
Posting insults is not.
Jared is local to us, and could well be a member of the forum, we dont allow name calling and insults on other threads and they arent acceptable on this one either.

Thankfully this character is not my parliamentary representative. If I were in Sheffield Hallam I would look at the options to get rid forthwith. From his woeful record in the HoC, with his apparent obsession being with Israel to the exclusion of everything else, it would appear he has little interest in constituency matters. Begs the question as to why he wanted to stand as an MP in the first place?

He should be replaced by someone with traditional conservative values.

He's a member of Momentum, and was their candidate, hence the Israel obsession. Local matters aren't important, he's just there to make up the numbers in the HoC and keep Corbyn in a job.

In a Guardian article just after the election, O'Mara said he "rejects entirely" the idea that he was a Momentum-backed MP.

Strange how Momentum Sheffield's Twitter feed gave the impression he was.

Plenty of proud anecdotes online about the support Momentum gave him, even driving him around.

'Labour's Jared O'Mara, who beat former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg to become MP for Sheffield Hallam, certainly felt the group played an active part. "The contribution of Momentum members in South Yorkshire and beyond was exemplary," he said. "It was a blessing to have them on board campaigning to get me elected."'

'After the training, we’ll have a chance to put what we’ve learnt into practice as we go out campaigning in the Hallam area. The Hallam constituency is particularly significant as a marginal seat and also because Labour’s candidate, Jared O’Mara, is a Momentum supporter himself!'

Seems Jared is good at forgetting his past.

My understanding from a friend who's a Labour Party member is that Momentum do lots of the campaigning regardless of who the candidate is. So in that sense they can take some credit wherever the Labour candidate gets elected, and O'Mara acknowledged that help in the Guardian interview. That's not the same as being selected and put forward by Momentum, is my understanding.

Right , here we go. To mister m , if I offended you in any way , I apologise . Any other posters that were offended im sorry . Starting the thread as I did , I tried to point out the hypocrisy of people that were probably offended by Omaras actions but because they were politically aligned with him , they would've liked to sweep it under the carpet . I didn't mention misdemeanours of other politicians ( from all parties ) because this is in the Sheffield discussions and obviously he is a Sheffield MP . I stand by my comments and no one will be reported or blocked, never done this , never will . Fire away

I never voted him in and the sooner he's (unfortunate) history, the better!

The big question is: does the forum prefer him to remain as MP, or return as DJ? https://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=526009

I'd prefer him to emigrate to Syria.

Looks like Mr Omara Is keeping quiet just like his contribution in Parliament for the constituents and of Hallam.

What a waist of space.
