It is with great sadness that I let SF Pets group users know of the death of one of the group GLs, SpeedDemon. Lisa Broomhead sadly died very suddenly while on holiday in Bulgaria and it has taken some time to get her body back to the UK and go through all the formalities that need to be done at a time like this, meaning that her funeral has still not been held.

 

Lisa's funeral, should anybody wish to attend, is at Hutcliffe Wood Crematorium on Tuesday 24 October (this coming Tuesday) at 10.30am.

 

If you wish to attend, please note that the family have requested no flowers and a donation to animal rescues or the collection which will go to charity on the day.

 

Lisa was 40 and left 5 children.

So tragic and shocking, I can't imagine how her family are feeling. My condolences go out to them. I hope the children have the emotional support they need. Does anyone know of a suitable charity for them to contact should they read this?

Lisa will be very much missed, she was a lovely person, it is hard to believe that she is really gone.

No, it was natural causes. She was in hospital in Bulgaria, having gone to see the doctor and been transferred there. The hospital just couldn't stop the organ failure as it happened, sadly.

Oh, so sorry to hear this news. Condolences to her family and friends. I didn't know her but I can't even begin to imagine the trauma her family are going through. Hope her kids are okay, its such a young age to go.

With regards to donating to a charity, was her love mostly dogs or was it cats and dogs Medusa? Maybe that would guide towards where any donations could go in lieu of flowers.
