Vice presidential debate... if Trump gets ill, it could be very important.

 

Also, Trump was to address his base of OAP's, so the optics don't look good.

 

Then there's losing half of the remaining campaigning time left... assuming Trump doesn't have any issues like Boris did and recovers completely in two weeks...

 

...it also puts the Covid response back at the top of the agenda, which Trump has been desperately trying to avoid.
