When Trump was first elected, there was a lot of discussion around the fact that once inaugurated, US nuclear codes would effectively be in the hands of a dangerous, unstable crackpot.

 

At the time there was considerable speculation about whether senior military officers would refuse to 'press the button' if Trump decided one morning to launch a nuclear strike on Iran or North Korea.

 

In the light of recent revelations from within the White House itself, what's the betting that those discussions amongst senior military officers have already taken place?
