it doesn't matter what he says. It's obvious the voters don't care.

 

the GOP will probably get slaughtered in the mid-terms, but not being a Republican, Trump won't particularly care about that except they'll be this dim realisation that it will be a lot more difficult for him to get stuff passed through if the GOP do lose. With both the Dems and the GOP in such a godawful mess there is very little chance a viable challenger will emerge from either side, to challenge Trump. The chances are that he'll run again in 2020 and probably win.
