"In the same article that you have selected from:

"In 2010, at the urging of Donald Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen, the National Enquirer began promoting a potential Trump presidential campaign, and with Cohen's involvement, the tabloid began questioning Obama's birthplace and citizenship.[145]"

In 2012, the far-right website Breitbart published a copy of the promotional booklet printed by Acton & Dystel in 1991. Trump employed the executive chairman of Breitbart -Bannon as his chief strategist.

In several interviews and appearances made Trump made claims directed at Obama's citizenship, college and passport applications.

These continued for years after Obama released his full birth certificate in 2011."

******

The WIKI article was concerned with  the "ORIGINS of the Claims".

For 16 years, 1991 to 2007, Obama's  Press Agent's Web site Bio had Obama born in Kenya.

In addition Obama's half brother made the same claim.

So there was ample incentive for a political rival to question and publicize that information, which is what a Clinton Campaign worker did, and they say fired for it. (They never mentioned who the campaign worker was who "got fired" for emailing it, and the MSM never questioned their "story".) :)

Trump's September, 2018 declaration that Obama "was born in the United States", also laid to  rest the other rumor you brought up, that Obama had obtained special consideration and/or financial support, as a "foreign student", on his college admission forms, which could explain why his "Kenya Born" biography on his Press Agent's web site stood, for 16 years, until 2007, the year he ran for President.  :)

Not credible?   Apparently it was common practice. Another, more recent Democrat Presidential Candidate, Elizabeth Warren, abused the college admission minority quotas by claiming she was an Native Indian, :)

But the rumor will never be completely resolved, because Obama's college admission application forms, have been sealed, locked up as tight as Fort Knox.

A couple of updates:

The 5 year Trump witchhunt, probably the longest running, widest ranging, and costliest legal persecution in history of an innocent citizen, to come up with the holy grail, a criminal charge against one Donald J. Trump, is running into the same old problem.

Lack of evidence to support the scattergun conspiracy theories and claims of crimes, circulated by his political opponents and their friends in the liberal media.

From a Special Prosecutor Investigation with a team of 18 of the best in the business, two failed Impeachment Trials, Obama's FBI "Operation Crossfire Hurricane", and some 20 State Attorneys General, looking into every aspect of his International business empire.

And still they come up embarrassingly empty.

All they do is continue to cast the net wider and wider, subpoena everybody ever associated with him, in the hope they will find among his thousands of associates a crooked lawyer, a tax cheat, a dishonest employee, to nail him to the cross.

That's not really hard to do, given the sheer size of his multiple international business and political contacts over the years.

But not a single criminal charge has ever been laid against him in a Court of Law.

These "Investigations" are now outlasting the investigators, Lol

BBC

"Legal bid to uncover Trump's Scottish golf course finances fails" https://www.bbc.com › news › uk-scotland-59414362

Here's the New York Times (via Seattle Times)

"Trump investigation enters crucial phase as prosecutor’s term nears end"

https://www.seattletimes.com/nation-world/trump-investigation-enters-crucial-phase-as-prosecutors-term-nears-end/

"NEW YORK — A long-running criminal investigation into Donald Trump and his family business is reaching a critical phase as Cyrus Vance Jr., the prosecutor overseeing the inquiry, enters his final weeks as Manhattan district attorney.

Vance’s prosecutors have issued new subpoenas for records about Trump’s hotels, golf clubs and office buildings. They recently interviewed a banker employed by Deutsche Bank, Trump’s top lender. And earlier this month, they told a top Trump executive who had been under scrutiny, Matthew Calamari, that they did not plan to indict him in the purported tax-evasion scheme that led to charges against Trump’s company and its chief financial officer.

The developments, described by people with knowledge of the matter, show that Manhattan prosecutors have shifted away from investigating those tax issues and returned to an original focus of their three-year investigation: Trump’s statements about the value of his assets.

In particular, the people said, prosecutors are zeroing in on whether Trump or his company inflated the value of some of his properties while trying to secure financing from potential lenders. If Vance’s office concludes that Trump intentionally submitted false values to potential lenders, prosecutors could argue that he engaged in a pattern of fraud"

Now that is a non-starter. Property values are a complex issue. What the seller may see as an overgrown industrial zoned vacant lot, a smart and successful entrepreneur may see as a future lavish hotel or shopping center. The Banks are the final arbiters of that issue, when assessing the risk associated with a loan.

As noted above, prosecutors recently interviewed a banker employed by Deutsche Bank, Mr. Trump’s top lender.

Ah, now the banks!

And on it goes!

Essentially the same as the Benghazi and Uranium One witch hunts Clinton had to endure... "Lock Her Up" wasn't it? :?

Unlike Trump, she actually was exonerated! :hihi:

Then there's that birth certificate nonsense Trump promoted heavily, and the stolen election garbage!

So what you're saying is that Trump, and you, like to dish it out... but can't take it!

As before, anyone who supports Trump has no cause to complain without looking a bit closer to home first.

Trump, like Hillary, is innocent until proven guilty!  :)

As for a crowd cheer, you should have heard what the mobs said about orangemanbad being  dragged from the White House in chains, after a Biden election :)

Didn't stop Trump screaming "Lock her up" at every opportunity! :?

Sounds positively tame compared to the “Great Awakening” when Trump would expose the cabal of Satan-worshipping pedophile cannibal elites and declare martial law, leading to mass arrests and executions of top Democrats...

... and then there's that "Reinstatement day" stuff! :loopy:

As before, anyone who supports Trump has absolutely no cause to complain, about anything! :)

Still arguing with strangers, instead of enjoying a walk along a palm-fringed beach?

You really are gluttons for punishment, aren't you 🙂

I like to keep tabs on the dysfunctional world I left behind! That and sports results.

Sometimes my partner spends all day cooking  good healthy local produce, and sometimes it rains like hell here.

Happiness is a fast broadband connection, and all restaurants here provide one for free.

Having fled the socialists in Sheffield, Canada and the U.S.  I also need to see how close they are to chasing me out of mi Isla Bonita!

(As an aside, a neighbor made some kind of deal with Delancer, the local ISP.

He put up his own little tower on the restaurant across the street, and sells local fast broadband to local residents on the cheap.

Imagine the outrage, and shocked "curtain peepers" if he tried that on the Arborthorne!)

Lol

Just admit it; you're bored out of your mind over there and you want to move back to England.

But we don't welcome ex-pats immigrants foreign scroungers round these parts.

So enjoy your third-world health care when you get ill.  I'm sure your neighbourhood witch doctor will be happy to saw off your leg when your foot gets eaten by the local wlidlife.

lol

Don't worry about your Sheffield being invaded by hoards of Republica Dominicans overloading your NHS.

Here there's no racism, and they don't hate ex-pats or foreigners. We are all color blind here!

Key to health and happiness here is no stress, plenty of sunshine,  exercise, a supportive community of family and friends. fresh local produce diet, a great partner who can cook and enjoys it. no Sainsburys, No McDonalds, no KFC,  No Big Brother CNN/BBC showing the worlds human atrocities and natural disasters 24/7, decrying "hate", but all the while promoting it against their conservative political opposition. Lol

No "nursing" homes, a pharmacia that sells generic drugs cheap, without prescription, even by the single pill, and a local clinic (butcher shop, they call it.) that can screw broken bones back together.

I little cold beer or wine at sundown with good friends - heaven.

Low COVID cases, and mortality rate. A relatively high vacc rate, 66% with 2 shots and 78% with at least the first, shot.

When I first visited here 12 years ago, I was an old man.

I'm younger than that now, and never felt better!

I never met a hater who actually grew to a ripe old age.

Salud!
