Good to see The Don arrive this morning.

LOL, dummy spat. #tempertantrum :hihi:

I agree with The Don. Khan should concentrate on knife crime in his own backyard.

What sort of welcome would leaders of countries such as Saudi Arabia who execute people in barbaric ways and still stone woman to death for adultery receive if they came on a state visit.  Would the Mayor of London protest against their visit?

It’s a welcome from me Mr Trump.

Some folk are forgetting that this visit has been penciled as a visit by the American President as part of the 75th anniversary of the D-day landings.  It could just have been Hilary Clinton had she seen won.

If you don't agree with the man, at least respect the occasion out of respect for those allied forces who fought & died to give you the opportunity to protest the other 51 weeks of the year.  You'll not see any protest over the other side of The Channel.

(...)

I don’t think there’s a precedent for such a visit by a draft-dodging American President.

Some folks don’t forget that, either.

Any protests at the man don’t take anything away from the occasion what-so-ever: there’d still be plenty of celebrations even without any visiting dignitaries.

Mr Trump says sexist things and for that reason shouldn't be welcome

Bara Kobarner was a better president

Turning up to demonstrate wont make a jot of difference anyway.

It will make a big difference.

Last time he came there was huge coverage of the protests on those US news channels who actually bother to report stories outside the US. (including Fox News)

Apart from being a massive royal sycophant, Trump is here to get photos and video of him and his trophy wife meeting the Queen and walking around Buck House for consumption back home.

It takes the tarnish off it somewhat when it is also shown that he is regarded as a toxic racist and misogynist but many citizens of the USA’s oldest ally.

Today, Trump on Boris: "He's a friend of mine. He's very nice. I have a very good relationship with him"

Boris: "A quite stupefying ignorance that makes him unfit to hold the office of president."

Did that fool from the Sun who interviewed him not mention what Johnson had said about him when endorsed him for Conservative leader?

Perhaps it's just the right thing to do.

Typical reactionary nonsense from someone trying to undermine the protests.

Fortunately those protesting neither care about nor need your permission to attend.
