I know I said I'd stay off this thread, but I just can't stand they way most keep missing the big picture. Kavanaugh and the Planned parenthood people want to make it easy for low income women to have access to birth control and to have abortions. No one dares to speak it out loud, but a person cannot be a burden on public services or the criminal justice system if they don't exist.

Hang on, are you suggesting that the support for birth control for low income women is a form of social conditioning/eugenics/elimination?

IMO, it is. But then I've gotten very cynical in my old age. 

 

This was sort of confirmed when I had a long conversation with my husband's eldest nephew.  He was always a wiz kid with numbers and now works in finance. It was his opinion that every dollar spent on birth control or abortion yielded a return many, many  times the original investment in savings for the government.

 

He and his missus live in London, by the way.  They were visiting his parents for the Thanksgiving holiday. They are on their way to becoming British citizens.  Why, we wondered, would you voluntarily leave all of us?!! 

 

Aside from them loving England and English people? Which I understand.  Why then? Why all the free stuff! The NHS, the vacation days! The great public transportation! The fact they don't need a car! For a Californian and a Texan used to spending hours in the car to get anywhere or flying.  France is 20 miles away! Europe is right there! But mostly the NHS.

 

For all who moan about the NHS, try being sick and having no health insurance. Or health insurance that's good, but costs a fortune. This American is very envious of your NHS.

You didn't read all of that article did you? Note the headline says Trump should have a 70% chance of winning not Trump does have a 70% chance of winning. The article itself points out many reasons why Trump doesn't have that 70% chance of whining and the risks that might mean he doesn't win. The last two sentences of the article say:

As a starting point, some 23 months before the election, we say his odds of reelection are 55/45. Still the favorite, but it can be anyone’s game.

Not as rosy as your post implies.
