blake   10 #736 Posted March 28, 2018 (edited) the trouble with the Socialist Worker 'analysis' of Trump, is that he's not a right- conservative at all. I think that may be the real reason why they hate him. The only way somebody can win an election by using the type of left wing rhetoric that appeals to working class voters and not pompous left-liberals, which is what people like Trump in the USA and Duterte in the Philippines did, is if they also sling in some anti-foreigner type stuff too. Dude111   10 #738 Posted March 30, 2018 Three top cable news networks cut away from Trump speech  Even Fox couldnt stay with that nonsense  It started just after 2 p.m, but within 30 minutes of Trump taking the stage CNN and MSNBC cut away to discussions with analysts and to report other news. Fox News remained on the speech for about ten minutes longer, according to social media reports, before cutting away also.  Three top cable news networks cut away from Trump speech | TheHill  Some lowlights  He complained about Hillary Clinton and the 2016 election, which concluded over 508 days ago. He said he didn’t understand the concept of community college, while also alleging, “Nobody ever heard of the word trillion until ten years ago.”  Trump even blamed President Barack Obama for judicial vacancies actually created by his legislative ally, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.  At one point, he even spoke at length about the ratings for the revival of comedian Roseanne Barr’s TV show.  The connection to “infrastructure” was non-existent. http://shareblue.com/cable-news-trump-speech-fox-news
 Share this content via...

hackey lad   3,980 #740 Posted March 30, 2018 You do all realise that the US elections were contested by two of the most disliked candidates ever . Lots of people already knew H Clinton was untrustworthy so voted for Trump who they knew little about . So I would like to know who would you prefer ,Clinton ( untrustworthy ) or Trump ( fresh start ) . Hindsight is not allowed
 Share this content via...

Andbreathe   10 #744 Posted March 31, 2018 Why ........?  I don’t think for one moment that Clinton is perfect by a long chalk...but, to a degree she’s socially aware of the humanities of man...she has a concept of empathy...Trump has no concept of this..he’s a narcissist, a misogynist, a crook, a liar and a cheat, amongst other things . He plays the President rather than being presidential. Great leaders admit when they are wrong and take criticism as an opportunity for development..many believe that being a success in business is a great foundation for running the most powerful nation on earth..it isn’t...he lacks the humility. I think you said in one of your previous posts to another poster ...”you only see what you want to see”, I can see why this concept rings with you.  Clinton won the American popular vote by nearly 3 million...if every individual vote counted then Clinton would be in the presidency. I know that’ll stick in your throat but it’s the reality. There’s nothing democratic about the college vote in the US... The fact that you can lose the popular vote but manage to win the election is fundamentally wrong and undemocratic...and this is supposedly the cradle of democracy? I think not.
