Guitarist looking for a band

Hi,

 

I'm a capable guitarist with 7 years experience, comfortable in both lead and rhythm. I just moved to Sheffield last month for university, and one of my biggest goals remains finding people to gig with.

 

I'd love to find a group of proper musicians with a certain level of commitment for what they do, practicing every week (or more if necessary), wanting to do gigs, and even writing original material when the time comes.

 

In terms of styles I am hugely varied, loving music from pretty much all genres, so I'd be happy to join any type of band (though I am not much into super heavy metal). In previous bands I've been in musicians and groups such as Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Kings of Leon, The Stone Roses, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, etc have all worked well (even though I realize this is quite generic 'music guy' music) haha.
