I feel sorry for the poor sods in Hillsborough who might be forced to hear the music of the likes of Shed Seven in a field in 2018. A fate worse than death.

Given that Shed Seven are on the 2nd stage on Sunday afternoon chances of locals hearing them will be slim.

Tributes to Sheffield Tramlines Festival organiser

The director of Sheffield's Tramlines Music Festival has died.

In a statement issued last night, festival organisers said Sarah Nulty had passed away at the age of 36 following a brief illness.

Tramlines began as a free city-wide festival in 2009.

In recent years it has attracted more than 100,000 people.

There are more outlets for new music than ever before; social media, YouTube etc etc. Plus dedicated radio stations to champion them. Radio 6 is a prime example.

My lunchtime exercise (walk through the park) has been totally ruined by all the boarding up of pathways and through routes and it's still another week to go. Ridiculous absolutely ridiculous.
