shabba   10 #1 Posted August 31, 2017 hi done some comparison site quotes but not sure who to go for, what is a good insurance company to use who will provide a good service and if things go wrong will pick up the claim and not fob me off??  any views on this and also is it worthwhile getting the home emergency cover with home insurance and how good is this?  thanks
 Share this content via...
carboy42 Â Â 10 #2 Posted September 1, 2017 We just had a break in at our garage last month and Legal & General were awesome. Immediately sent someone out to secure it for us and all items replaced or cash settlement for what they could not get for us very quickly. Cant fault them at all. Danny_Boy   10 #5 Posted September 4, 2017 Be careful on the comparison sites, they sell on price, so companies strip their policies of benefits to make them cheap and come out top, look out for the defaqto rating as this will give you an indication of the level of cover, you want a 5 star plan ideally.  I like home emergency, if your boiler conks out when it's freezing in the winter, they'll send someone out within a certain time limit to fix any problems up to a certain price limit, usually £500.  You should also consider personal possessions cover if you have expensive mobile phones / tablets / laptops.
